Celebrating 25 Years as a vibrant part of the Tonbridge community
Group: Tai Chi & Qi Gong
Meets: Tuesday & Wednesday mornings in term time
Venue: Hall in Tudeley (Tue), Church in Plaxtol (Wed)
Details:
Both beginners sessions currently have waiting lists.
Tai Chi and Qi Gong provide a gentle form of exercise with many health benefits: better balance & concentration, improved muscle control & general well-being. The apparently simple aim of regulating posture, breathing and mind combine to become an enjoyable challenge.
We hold a number of classes, some for those with experience and others for beginners. Due to numbers some classes are now held fortnightly whilst others are weekly on Tuesday mornings in Tudeley and Wednesday mornings in Plaxtol.
All sessions are on an Autumn and Spring term basis. In the summer we enjoy outdoor practice together in shady Tonbridge Parks. We share the costs of hiring the venues. Costs are approximately £15 for 10 sessions. New members are welcome when space permits and classes are indoors. When necessary we keep a waiting list. Past experience is not needed, just an open mind, plenty of perseverance and the ability to exercise standing for an hour. Though the Tai Chi & Qi Gong routines can be adapted participants must take responsibility for their own health issues, modifying movements according to their needs.
The Tudeley’s Hall has parking, a no step access and it is fitted with a hearing induction loop and microphone.
